■ Theme
“Massive and Miniscule”
This years theme is “Massive and Minuscule”
What kind of world can you see if you combine extremely large and small things in the world?
The galaxy and grains of sand.
Torrential rain and water droplets.
Whales and plankton.
We think we can expand the possibilities of video by combining micro and macro, comparing, interlocking, and fusing them together.
MADD. Award 2020 invites new video expressions using 8K and smartphones.
■ Application
Any company, organization, individual or group, age, gender, occupation, or nationality.
■ Categories
We will accept entries in two categories.
Category 1 [Massive video]
Visual creations that express the themes of “Massive and Miniscule” with “large-scale visions”
Category 2 [Massive Video+Smartphone]
Video creations that express the themes of “Massive and Miniscule” with “large-scale visions” and “the use of smartphone as an independent device “
■ Award
One overall winner will be chosen by a panel of judges.
Prizes will be announced as soon as they are decided.

① Lecture on how to use 8K camcorders (8C-B60A)
② Lecture on massive video production
③ Workshop on massive video and smartphone creation
■ Video Requirements
Category 1 [Massive Video]
-8K resolution (7680 × 4320) live-action, animation / CG (including real-time rendering) video content
-8K submissions are expected to be projected on a screen over 300 inches large
-Length should be 60-180 seconds
Category 2 [Massive Video + Smartphone]
-8K resolution (7680 × 4320) live-action, animation / CG (including real-time rendering) video content
-8K submissions are expected to be projected on a screen over 300 inches large
-A smartphone should be linked with the “Massive” video for “display”, “operation” or “shooting”
– There are no particular restrictions on how to use the smartphone.
-Length should be 60-180 seconds
-There is no specific format for videos shot on smartphones
